Daily Diving in Dahab
All the dive sites are attainable from the shore, where we go to by Jeep. For the first dive in the morning we depart around 9:00 am, the second dive will be at 14:00 pm after the surface intervall.
We are spending the surface intervall at restaurants beside the dive sites, where we have a huge variety of menues.
The entries of the divesites do have a difference in difficulty: at some divesites we do have a sandy beach, others do have rocks to walk over; however there are also divesites, where you can just dive on high tide, as it is necessary to enter by snorkeling over the reef. The daily plan which dive sites we go to is depending on wind and weather conditions. However we are certainly committed to give our divers a most attractive package, to dive every day at a different. Of course there are also divesites which are independant from wind and weather, such as Blue Hole, Canyon, Lighthouse, Ras Um Sid, Golden Blocks, Three Pools.
Furthermore we organize Early Morning- or nightdives upon request at any time!
Boat Diving in Dahab:
The diving sites in the south of Dahab with the name "Gabr El Bent" can be reached by boat. For these kind of excursions we need a minimum number of participants of 4 Persons. Depending on the number of participants, the trip is a supplement to the divebox and costs between 25 Euro and 35 Euro.
Cameltrips:
In direction to Nuweiba, north of Dahab, there is the national park "Ras Abu Galum". Here we go to by Camel, these excursions can be organized for 1 or more days. One day as supplement to the divebox is 45 Euro. For more information click here: Camelsafaris
Thistlegorm or Wreck-Diving Safaris:
The Thistlegorm is the best known wreck in the Red Sea and one of the most sought after in the whole world. It was on the 6th October, 1941, when she was hit by a German long range bomber. The bomb landed in number 4 hold, which held ammunition. She was ripped in half and sank instantly. She is lying in 30 m water, in an upright position and stands proud of the seabed by about 18 m between Sha'ab Ali and Sha'ab Mahmoud. The wreck is best approached as 2 separate dives, current on this dives can be extremely strong. We recommend these dives for advanced divers.
1-day trip to Thistlegorm from Dahab:
In the evening before the trip the guests are transferred
to Sharm El Sheikh, where they can have dinner on
the Safari-Boat and stay overnight. Start 6:00 am
in Sharm, 2 dives on Thistlegorm, 1 dive at Ras
Mohamed. Back in Dahab around 20:00 pm
Liveaboard excursions for Wreck-Diving are offered from 1-3 days to the Thistlegorm or Abu Nuhas, escorted by an experienced Diveguide with good local knowledge.
Last but not least, we are an active
member of the international society of reef protection,
making sure that the flora and fauna remains untouched
for many years to come. As in the global project
aware, we prevent touching and collecting of sea
shells or any other creatures of the seven seas.
